You will be responsible for providing technical support and leading the engineering team related to track equipment products.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with client / operators to understand their requirements and any track performance issues.
- Display a deep technical knowledge of proficiency in track infrastructure design e.g. turnouts, crossovers.
- Creating modifications and new designs beyond required standards that improve track performance and enhance whole-of-life track costs.
- Maintenance of in-house engineering practices and drawing office standards
- Develop manufacturing instructions to manufacture track components which achieve promised delivery times.
- Focus on Continuous improvement to improve the productivity for all assemblies and individual components.
- Act as the primary engineering interface to the customer and interface between Design/Product Engineering teams
- Managing business unit costs and budgets
- Provide assistance for business development, tendering for track business, including estimating and client interface
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar
- 10+ years rail track sector experience paired with knowledge of Turnout design
- Understanding of manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
- Knowledge of Rail Safety law and WHS requirements
