A unique opportunity has arisen for our Sydney, New South Wales operations and Shadbolt is seeking a Trade Assistant.

The Role:
We are seeking for Motivated, Reliable, Experienced Trade Assistant to Join our Sydney, New South Wales Team. You will be responsible to assisting tradespeople and inspectors with general tasks, ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely.
This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the leading hand.
The key responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Assisting in rigging work, grinding, spotting and sentry works
- Forklift operation
- Operating machinery and using power tools – for example, grinding tools
- Cleaning, preparing and maintaining work sites and tools
- Performing assigned duties independently
- Ensuring tools and equipment are stored safely
- Adhering to workplace health and safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Grinding and surface preparation.
- Boom Lift licence
- Drive Forklift as licenced.
- Dogging or rigging Licence.
- Confined Space certification
- EWP licence
- Testing and tagging (electrical)
- Warehousing and Inventory control
- First Aid Certification
- Safe Working At Heights certification
- Basic understanding of welding processes
- Understanding of different materials: S/S, alloyed steels, aluminium etc.
- Work with minimal supervision
- Good physical health
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Self-motivation and willingness to work hard
- Ability to use tools and carry out physical tasks as required
- Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Qualifications and Experience.
- White card
- High Risk Licences – EWP, Forklift, Dogging (desirable)
- Confined space certification
- Safe Working at Heights certification
- Fire Fighting Awareness training
Other aspects of this role include:
- Full time position.
- Full medical required for this position.
- Police clearances required for this position.
Clearances required:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearances.
