Project overview:
Genus has been awarded a contract by ACCIONA Energía for the Aldoga 275kV Solar Farm Substation design and construction works in Queensland.
The substantial scale of this project will contribute significantly to the Queensland Government’s target of achieving 50 per cent renewable energy by 2030. ACCIONA Energia will build, own, and operate the Aldoga Solar Farm and 275kV Substation.
Scope Of Work:
Genus will undertake the detailed design, procurement, installation and associated civil works for the new 275kV Substation, with the contract having an approximate value of $40 million to be delivered over a 12-month period in 2024. Genus will engage with circa 70 personnel to complete the project using significant local content from regional Queensland.

Genus Industrial is seeking applications for local residents to Gladstone for Adoga Substation for an immediate start.
Essential Requirements and skills
- High Risk Work Licence - multiple licences - highly favourable
- Construction White Card
- Experience as an Electrical Trade Assistant
- Exposure within the civil construction, construction, power, utilities, resources sector
