About the Role:
The primary focus of this role is to support the product sold through the Company by responsibly assisting in carrying out service, maintenance and repairs of earthmoving machinery as instructed by the Tradesperson to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a timely manner.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Assist in performing quality service, maintenance and repairs on all equipment sold and/or serviced by the Company as directed by a Tradesperson or immediate supervisor
- Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship assuring quality in the finished product
- Ensure repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines for reusable parts
- Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times
- Research to ensure that the latest or improved parts as fitted/used on each job
- Year 10 Certificate or Year 12 completion
- High Risk Forklift License
- Certificate II in Engineering (Mechanical)
- Occupational Health & Safety courses
- Driver’s License: Vehicle class C
- Relevant licences for overhead gantry crane and dogging
- Minimum two years’ experience in a comparable role within the mechanical or similar heavy industry
- Competent to perform medium level welding, painting and mechanical task.
