What do we do?

Bend-tech Group make maintenance on-site safe, efficient, and easy. We work closely with those in the Resource Industry along with Manufacturing, Rail, Government, Maritime and Defence to design, engineer and manufacture certified product to meet requirement. Our steel solutions widely range from workshop items such as 2T-150T stands, heavy duty work benches, structural steel racks and access platforms to large specialised access/work platforms, heavy duty transport/storage frames as well as most general fabrication. With our sales consultants being in touch with our customers onsite we are able to capture the needs of the markets giving our fabricators a great sense of achievement.

About the Role

We have a need for an eager, self-starting Trade Assistant / Yard person who is keen to take ownership of maintaining materials, stock, racking, etc. for a 

10 00m2 yard / factory floor and assist with day-to-day logistics, such as material handling and general labouring, to aid output as much as possible.

About You

With a willing attitude and friendly demeanour, you will be required to:

• Maintain a factory yard, ensuring adequate space, organisation and safety is adhered to
• Inventory Management and Maintenance (ie. stock items, raw materials, racking, stock counts, off-cuts, staging materials for machines, etc.)
• Aid with loading / unloading trucks
• Assist tradespeople, contractors, and operators with general labouring assistance.
• Assist in the fabrication of materials constructed in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure the work area, tooling, and equipment is clean, tidy, safe, and ready for use.
• Aid with packing completed jobs for customers

Key Attributes:

• Previous general hand and manufacturing experience will be an advantage
• Forklift License (High Risk Work Licence) is desirable (will accept ability to get licence)
• Ability to undertake a physical role (manual handling/standing)
• Commitment to meet our quality and safety standards
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work autonomously
• Initiative and can-do attitude 
• Maintain a clean and hazard free workspace to support our culture
• Flexibility to suit shifting demand (over time, etc.) (desirable)
• HR licence (desirable but not essential)
