The Opportunity We are currently looking for self-motivated individuals to join our growing Maintenance team and provide support to our mechanical tradespeople. All roles will be on a full-time basis and will require a basic level of mechanical knowledge with a strong willingness to learn. Role is available across at our Ryde depot Experience in a similar role and environment is preferred but not necessary as we are willing to train and develop the right individuals for the position. With the right set of skills and qualifications, we are offering attractive rates and allowances that include; $34.50 per hour (Inclusive of Allowances) When taking Annual Leave, you will be paid your hourly rate plus the Annual Leave Loading of 17.5%. Full time, permanent role with career progression within Busways All work uniforms and any/all necessary PPE will be provided A secure recession proof career that is always in demand Role responsibilities Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role requires you to have a mature and professional approach with excellent communication skills. Your main duties will include: Performing minor repairs and service of vehicles and equipment, in a timely manner, within your skill level and experience under the supervision of a qualified tradesperson Moving buses within the yard, parking and refuelling them Pick-up and delivery of parts and other objects as required by the Workshop Supervisor or Leading Hand General yard/workshop cleaning and maintenance Store duties as and when required by the supervisor Performing other general, non-trades services as directed Adhering to all Work, Health & Safety requirements whilst performing work duties Maintaining clean workshop practices The successful applicant will have: A current unrestricted NSW drivers licence (MR class or higher preferred) The ability to perform tasks which require heavy lifting Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies A willingness to work a variety of shifts Sound level of verbal and written communication Experience…
