About the Role
Based in St Marys you will report to the Maintenance Manager and join a small and skilled team. This is a dynamic role that requires a hands-on and energetic person with a high level of organization and the ability to work quickly and accurately while maintaining safe work practices and following procedure. To be successful you will have a keen eye for detail, technical and mechanical aptitude and experience in a process driven environment will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete Maintenance Assistant pre-start checks and cleaning
- Complete Maintenance Assistant PM Checks
- Perform general and preventative maintenance on production machines under the guidance of a Maintenance Manager.
- Assist the Maintenance Team with Work Orders
- Raise Maintenance Purchase Orders
- Assist with Maintenance Inventory Control
- Maintain a clean factory and surrounding area at all times
- Work in a safe manner by complying with all health and safety policies, procedures and guidelines
- Ensure all processes are followed accurately
- Be open minded to learn new technical skills
- Contribute to maintaining a respectful workplace
About You
To be successful in this role you will be able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve a consistently high standard of work. A high level of communication and attention to detail are key to your success in this role. You will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Strong and proven mechanical aptitude
- Current driver's license
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team and have sound judgment skills
- The ability to adapt and change, within a very short time scale
- Sound understanding of WH&S with a strong focus and commitment on safety, quality and environment
- A good level of fitness
- Planning and organisational skills
