Trade Overseer - Centre Hygiene/Recycling 5D- Corrective Services Industries -
Mid North Coast Correctional Centre

Location - Mid North Coast Correctional Centre

Employment type - Ongoing, Full Time

Salary - $ 88,178.00 pa + Incidental Allowance + Leave Loading + Superannuation

Your role

Corrective Services Industries is currently seeking a trade qualified candidate for the Centre Hygiene/Recycling role at Mid North Coast Correctional Centre. As the ideal candidate for this role, you must have experience in Centre Hygiene/Recycling

What you'll do

As the Overseer, you will have excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, strong work ethics and integrity in line with CSI core values to train and supervise inmates as well as Quality control / inspection responsibilities to ensure compliance. You are also required to have sound computer knowledge, show strong resilience and have robust time management skills.

What we're looking for

As a standout candidate you will have:

  • Proven trade experience
  • Demonstrated staff management skills
  • Willingness to work across varying trades and ability to multitask to achieve operational goals
  • The successful candidate will be paid to undertake Primary Training for Certificate III in Correctional Practice
  • Must be willing to undertake relevant training as required (paid by CSI)

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum current Certificate III or greater in Hygiene, Cleaning Services, Waste Management or similar related trades
  • Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes
  • Current NSW Driver Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required
  • General understanding of capabilities around the use of computers and electronic platforms to access relevant departmental programmes and applications
