Distro-Tex' Regional Distribution Powerline Division is seeking 1 x Trade Skilled Worker - Powerline (Distribution) to join our growing team that continues to thrive under the current works program to deliver results for our clients. The position is based in Kadina, South Australia.

As a TSW4a - Powerline Worker for Distro-Tex, you'll be joining a team that is responsible for completing a wide variety of tasks & projects such as:
- SA Power Networks HV & LV construction & maintenance works including Greenfields & Brownfields projects on SA Power Network's distribution assets (Pole footings, poles, wires, TFs, Reclosers, Load Switches etc)
- SA Power Networks Live Low Voltage tasks
- HV Terminations - both on the SA Power Networks distribution system & private networks such as Wind Farms, Solar Farms & Bulk Supply Customers
- General Powerline civil works including footing installation, conduit installation & cable hauling
- ADHOC Supply & Restoration services due to adverse weather events
- Underground Residential Development (URD) construction
- SLO Construction and Maintenance

We want to bring in a team member who doesn’t enjoy sitting still and watching time pass by, someone who can navigate through the corporate red tape and complete tasks safely whilst having a good time doing so and someone who enjoys a beer with the crew at the end of the week.
The successful candidate may be required to work overtime as required, perform callout duties, and work away as required both intra and interstate.
What you will need:
Applicants applying for the TSW4a - Powerline/Linesman position are required to possess the following qualifications & experiences:
- Certificate III in ESI - Power Systems - Distribution (or equivalent)
- Current 'HR' South Australian Drivers License
- Current SA Electrical Workers License
- White Card
- High Risk Work Licenses: WP, LF, DG, RB, CV/C6
- Current SAPN HV/LV Switching Operator’s License
- Current ESI First Aid/CPR/EWP Rescue/Escape Low Voltage Rescue or able to obtain
- Working Safely at Heights
- Experience in SAPN Overhead & Underground Construction & Maintenance Services including Live Works
- Experience and completion of HV & LV jointing courses/units including manufacture accreditations i.e Nexans, NKT, Raychem
- Experience in SLO Construction & Maintenance including bulk LED change
The following qualifications and experiences are not essential, however are advantageous:
- C6 High Risk License & Crane Borer Operation Experience (including excavation of pole footings)
- SAPN Stobie Pole Footings Experience
- SAPN URD Construction
- High Voltage Switching Accreditation on the SAPN Network
- Live Low Voltage Switching Accreditation on the SAPN Network

Currently our employees complete normal work hours between Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm, however, with our growing pipeline of work there are with opportunities for overtime works plus additional Living Away From Home Allowance (LAFHA), overtime penalties and allowances on top of hourly rates. We're looking for a young & eager Powerline worker who enjoys digging in and having a crack whilst earning good money doing it!
