The Roles:
There are three roles available in Planning Directorate in PLUS.
- Team Leader, Regional Plans (ongoing) - This role is responsible for the delivery of the State's next generation of digital regional plans and the development of other strategic plans focused on population and economic trends, analysis in land housing, urban development and demography. It includes community engagement and stakeholder liaison and providing strategic planning advice to senior management, the State Planning Commission and Minister for Planning.
- Team Leader, Planning and Design Code (term 18 months) - Two roles are available, responsible for preparing, processing and implementing Code Amendments and providing planning policy advice to senior management, the Minister for Planning and the State Planning Commission.
The roles require high levels of professional independence and will enhance customer outcomes, drive growth and investment, and enhance the liveability and sustainability of our communities.
About You:
To be successful in these positions, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:
- Ability to apply professional skills and techniques to interpret, review and implement policy, legislation and regulations.
- Sound knowledge of planning and development processes and procedures.
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 and associated codes, regulations and procedures and skills and abilities to apply them in complex situations.
- Skills and capacity to provide quality Team Leadership.
- Experience working in a planning related role that involves policy development, strategic planning and/or development assessment.
- High level written and oral communication skills
Qualification:
A recognised degree or post graduate qualification that supports the relevant discipline of planning and development.
Special Conditions
Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration:
PO4 - $109,060 min - $118,690 max
