About the role:
Knauf Gypsum is looking for an enthusiastic and confident candidate to join us as a Trade Store Customer Service Operator. The role reports to the Trade Store Manager. This is a great opportunity to join our high performing Trade StoreFyshwick, ACT.
This role will primarily be office based and involves various aspects of working in a warehousing environment including; dealing with customers, working behind a desk on a computer, running promotions, in-store activations, working in pairs/ teams & general warehousing duties.

Ability to demonstrate a positive, can-do, and friendly attitude, willing to work both on the floor in the warehouse and in the office to interact with customers directly and picking orders accurately is key to being successful in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Dealing with Customers face-to-face & over the phone in a shop/warehouse environment
- Provide customers with exceptional Customer Service via counter and phone sales to existing and new customers. Create, check, dispatch orders in full and on time
- Assist in minimisation of costs and maximisation of profits through daily activities
- Provide appropriate information to Management regarding store and region activities
- Assist in maintenance of inventory levels to satisfy customer requirements and market demand
- Assist in management of transport resources to effectively maintain efficient service to customers
- Ensure all administrative duties are completed with the Management System Guidelines or assist in administrative duties where required by Management
- Any other reasonable task as requested by Management
- Assist with stock take / inventory counts process to ensure accurate inventory records are maintained
- Receipt goods & checking off paperwork while maintaining due diligence
- Record and report any customer complaints to the Trade Stores Manager regarding product and / or service via Knauf's complaint and customer procedures
- Picking & Packing orders when required
- General warehouse/office duties & house keeping

- Ensure there is a commitment toward living the value of ‘safety’ over ‘production’ in the workplace
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all employees, contractors and visitors
- Comply with all systems that are in place to help manage incidents, hazards, risks and the communication of such things in the work place
- Keep abreast with any HSE policy
Must have:
- Background or experience in sales, distribution and Customer Service
- Physically fit & comfortable with manual handling
- Picking, packing and dispatching experience would be advantageous
- Competent in SAP/GTI, Microsoft Office and other IT applications to complete operational tasks
- Enjoys working in a team environment
- Team player, attention to detail, time management and organization skills
- Good communication skills (Written & Verbal)
- A current forklift license is advantageous or willing to obtain (highly regarded)
