About the role
Main tasks: As the key player responsible for the operational running of a trade, retail, and industrial paint store, you'll be pivotal in maximising its trading performance.
Other tasks:
- Monitor and achieve sales budgets, collaborating with strategic supply partners
- Collaborate with strategic supply partners
- Ensure compliance with company policies
- Manage and nurture existing customer accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty while generating increased business.
- Engage with the community through community-centric partnerships
- Participate in store events like trade nights or DIY retail sales days
- Maintain safe working practices and provide direction to store staff
- Apply your technical knowledge of paint systems to provide expertise and support to customers
- Stay informed about the local competitive landscape within the industry

What you must have to apply for this role:
- Working knowledge of paints or architectural, decorative, industrial, protective, marine, or automotive coatings
- Previous success in sales & staff leadership positions
- Self-motivation, flexibility, negotiation skills, collaboration, & exceptional customer relations capabilities
You will be highly regarded if you also have:
- Experience with protective coatings, spray equipment, or refinishing supplies
- Skills in setting up in-store displays & promoting products effectively
- Existing relationships with panel/crash shops, fabricators, or refinishers
- Proficient use of call cycle templates, reporting tools, & planning resources
