We are searching for a passionate and experienced individual to oversee the Trade area of our fantastic Huonville team. Our iconic store sits in an enviable position in the centre of town and is one of the largest employers in the Greater Huon area. A recent and significant refurbishment has prepared the store for further growth, so it is an exciting time to come on board.
The Role
- Lead and motivate the Trade team to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Ensure staff coverage is appropriate and communicate with the Store Manager with regard to any required changes
- Implement strategies to enhance store operations and achieve financial objectives.
- Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and organizing stock.
- Ensure the Trade presentation and layout maximizes sales opportunities.
- Identify product and marketing opportunities within the building industry
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, team members and suppliers.
- Communicate with our other stores regarding stock, purchasing products and bulk buys
- Duty Manager accountabilities including opening and closing the store as required, working in collaboration with other departments at Huonville
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback from team members and customers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in retail or a related field, with a knack for inspiring and guiding a team towards excellence.
- A willingness to dive into every aspect of Trade operations, from front-end service to stock management.
-Focusses on Workplace Health and Safety across the site including running weekly huddles and feedback for improvement
- A track record of achieving sales targets and a keen eye for identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
- A strong commitment to delivering superior customer service and support the local community.
- Experience in inventory management, scheduling, and reporting, with an ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to train, and develop staff, creating a supportive and high-performing team environment.
