Due to continued growth and success across our business, we now have opportunities for experienced Trade Assistants to join our expanding team. At BMI our well-equipped workshop is set up to offer truck hydraulic and body fitment capabilities which can accommodate the smallest of assets up to some of the largest mobile equipment in the industry.
About the role
Based in our well-equipped workshop in Acacia Ridge the role will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Assist with repairs and maintenance on hook lifts, tip & skip bin loaders, tippers, and just about anything that has wheels or tracks with hydraulics.
- Assist with repairs to truck hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Assist with structural body repairs and fabrication.
- Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and safe work practices.
- Take instruction and direction from the Workshop Manager.
About you
The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience to the role:
- Previous experience within heavy vehicle and truck maintenance.
- Ability to assist with fabrication and assembly of components in a workshop environment.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop.
- Knowledge in the use of hand and power tools.
- Work well within a team, autonomously and unsupervised.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Punctual and reliable.
