Aurizon are looking for an experienced Trades Assistant (Locomotive Maintainer I) to join our Jilalan maintenance depot. Working on Locomotives within a well organised and thriving workshop this is a great entry level opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. Working a day/night/weekend rotating roster you will get the unique experience to work on our locomotive fleet and have great work / life balance.
You will be responsible for:
Perform simple trouble shooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock components to meet the operational requirements.
Utilise and input accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
Assist with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the depot to enhance customer service.

About you
Strong commitment to safety.
Substantial skills in working in a collaborative work environment.
Candidates from heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
Sound level of skills in oral, written and interpersonal communication.
Sound computer literacy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
