Our Business - Construction, Traffic Network Services
Traffic Network Services (TNS) install and maintain TRAFFIC SIGNALs, intelligent transport systems (ITS), including traffic CCTV, Variable Message Signs (VMS), the fibre optic cabling and data network to support the TRAFFIC SIGNALs and ITS devices throughout Brisbane. Responsible for the installation of street and bike path lighting throughout Brisbane and also for 'on street' parking meter maintenance and coin collections from Council’s 1000+ parking meters.
The Role
- lead TNS Traffic Signals Construction nightworks staff to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality
- set performance standards, provide feedback, and support development
- monitor and report on project progress and resource utilisation
- develop and implement safety and quality plans
- conduct audits to ensure compliance with standards
- manage drawings and inspection plans
- utilise IT systems for efficient operations.
To be successful you will have:
- effective leadership skills, providing clear direction and ongoing feedback to teams
- proficiency in Workplace Health and Safety, Environmental, and quality policies, including understanding of EEO practices
- ability to work autonomously in a night shift supervisory role, serving as a point of contact for teams
- project management experience, including resource allocation and risk assessment
- expertise in Traffic Signals installation and maintenance, meeting standards
- understanding of Electrical Safety Act 2002 and AS/NZS 3000, Wiring Rules
- knowledge of labour, equipment, and material deployment for efficient resource utilisation
- proficiency in AustRoads Guide to Temporary Traffic Management.
