About Lindsay Transport: Lindsay Transport is the largest transporter of fresh produce in Australia and specialises in temperature sensitive, time-slotted freight into Central Markets and major Grocery Distribution Centres. We operate a network of freight terminals with significant coldroom facilities across the east coast of Australia and employ a staff of approximately 1600 employers. About the role:Qualified Mechanic required for our new workshop in Derrimut. The purpose of the role is to fix and maintain trailers and ensure they can travel without malfunctioning or breakdown. Your duties will include: Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of equipment in compliance with the manufactures and company schedules Create job repair plan based on diagnosis, determine part requirements to complete repair Repair or rebuild all or part of equipment systems Access any area of the equipment of the vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Perform safety impactions on trailers Perform general/routine welding and fabrication About you: To be successful for this role applicants must: Have a relevant trade qualification Proven competence in repairs and rebuilds Effective diagnostic skills - BPW & Hendrickson experience highly regarded Own basic tools (specialist tools are provided) (tool allowance paid) Basic computer skills Clear and concise communication skills Motivated, reliable and a good work ethic Lindsay Australia operates with a culture of honesty and openness.If you’re successful in joining us, you’ll be joining a team where creativity, diversity and innovation are encouraged.
