The role

Managing a team of two, you will lead the operation of Sunwater’s end to end payroll ensuring that system and legislative requirements, timeframes, service standards and business outcomes are met. Furthermore, you will support and advise key stakeholders in EA negotiations regarding software capability and system change.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring payroll is completed in the required timeframes
  • Timely completion of Year End reconciliations and reporting
  • Provision and coordination of high-level advice and support to Sunwater employees in relation to the interpretation and application of industrial legislation, polices and enterprise agreements to support quality client services
  • Manage payroll data governance and reporting
  • Work closely with the People and Change and Assurance teams to ensure that the payroll system reflects the correct interpretation and application of Industrial Agreements
  • Compliance with audit processes and internal control framework as it relates to payroll services
  • Managing and developing Payroll & HRIS systems, including advanced functionality, to improve and automate business processes.

About you

Having demonstrable experience in managing and developing Payroll & HRIS systems, you will also have recent experience in supporting and advising key stakeholders in EA negotiation and implementation. You will have well developed practical experience in leading a team in the delivery of end-to-end payroll services.

In addition, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • In depth working experience of payroll systems
  • Ability to effectively develop and maintain strong client relationships, with a proven ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to undertake a range of HRIS projects and deliver high-quality innovative solutions to complex issues
  • High attention to detail and ability to work autonomously
