Bowen Rail Company is seeking a qualified Train Driver to join our operations team in Bowen. Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will perform rail operations safely, efficiently, and professionally to exceed all stakeholder expectations in line with the Bowen Rail Company Values of Accountability, Safety, People, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence – ASPIRE.
Should you ASPIRE to join the team, you will have demonstrated experience in the following:
- Current or recent AN Newlands route (essential)
- Aurizon Network Safe Working (essential)
- ECP (Desirable)
- Wired Distributed Power (Desirable)
- Safety Leadership
- Extensive experience driving heavy haul trains (EMD GT42 [4000, 4100, 8300])
- All round train operations including shunting and testing of rolling stock.
- Completing accurate and timely workplace documentation
- Supporting the professional development of trainees and co-workers
- Working 24/7 rosters including weekends and public holidays
To progress your application, you will also have the following:
- Cert IV in Train Driving
- Intermediate computer skills
- SARC – Safely Access the Rail Corridor
- Knowledge of Rail Safety National Laws and Regulations
- Understanding of Rail Industry Standards
