Complete Belting Solutions Pty Ltd is an Australian conveyor and asset maintenance management company that manufactures and supplies products and 24/7 services to industrial, quarry and mine sites across Australia.
We have positions available for Trainee Belt Splicers / belt technicians to join our Brisbane-based team.
We require enthusiastic, hard-working and physically fit individuals that can handle the fast-paced and labour-intensive nature of this position.
As this is a trainee role, no experience is required and on-the-job training will be provided, so it is perfect for someone looking to start a career in the industry.
Specifically, areas of training will include:
- conveyor belt and system installation, maintenance and repair
- safety training and licencing (including forklift, EWP, confined space, etc)
- workplace health and safety
This role offers a unique opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career in a diverse working environment, with the opportunity to advance to a more senior and autonomous role as quickly as your skills develop. It will see you perform a variety of tasks based:
- at our Brisbane workshop; and
- on local and greater Queensland client sites (overnight stays may occasionally be required).
Extensive overtime is available but not mandatory.

- The ability to operate at a high-level even when under pressure
- A responsible attitude, with a willingness to be held accountable
- Basic mathematic knowledge and solid understanding of measurements and how to measure accurately
- Commitment to the upholding of workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- A willingness to work long hours if required, as well as weekends as required is essential
- A willingness to occasionally travel intrastate and support our central Queensland operations
- Flexibility in terms of working hours
- A current Australian drivers licence
- A current forklift licence, or the willingness to obtain one, will be looked upon favourably
- Possessing the following qualifications would be an advantage: confined space; Working Safely at Heights; EWP; White Card
This opportunity will see you take on the following duties:
- Undertake workshop and onsite belt splicing training
- Assist our qualified technicians with conveyor belt and system maintenance activities and repairs including belt repair, roller maintenance, pulley refurbishments, gear box change outs, skirt replacements, belt tracking, etc
- Perform general site maintenance duties
- Undertake breakdown, shutdown and project work
- Dispatch and receipt of product
- Stock control as required
- Loading and unloading of vehicles
- Deliveries
- Organisation of the workshop and amenities
- Travel to sites in greater Queensland to undertake above tasks
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required
