Form of workAn exciting opportunity exists for a Trainee Cardiac Technician / Trainee Cardiac Sonograher with a busy Cardiology clinic located in Bankstown, New South Wales. Four weeks of paid training. There is two and half days of paid work per week starting immediately. There is one unpaid training day. Total three and a half days per week. Duties include ECG, Holter monitoring, BP monitoring, stress testing, assisting with echocardiograms and assisting with stress echocardiograms. Starting salary $37 ph plus super.
For the right candidate, three days of scanning experience in an echocardiography laboratory to allow for a post graduate cardiac sonography enrolment is possible. The ideal candidate will have:
- An undergraduate degree (Preferably in health/medical sciences or exercise physiology) with a Distinction average
- A desire for further post graduate study
- Willingness and enthusiasm to learn
- Attention to detail and ability to excel in a varied workload
- Working with Children’s Check, Police Clearance, First Aid and Providing CPR Certificate
- Any previous clinical / Cardiac Technician experience is advantageous but not crucial
- Must be highly reliable and honest with an excellent attendance record
