ABOUT THE ROLEPosition
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual looking to commence a career in the facilities management industry while completing a qualification and learning on the job from an experienced team.
Reporting to the Coordinator Community Facilities, the Community Facilities staff are responsible for providing high level customer service and administrative support for the efficient functioning of Council’s Community Facilities.
The role is diverse, involving liaising with customers, facility users and visitors to ensure their needs are met, assisting with set up and pack down of events, invoicing and general administrative tasks. You will also provide assistance in promoting the use of Council’s Community Facilities and supporting programs and events.
To be successful in this traineeship, you will have an interest in developing a career in the field and a willingness to undertake a Certificate III level qualification. You will also demonstrate sound customer service and communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Upon successful completion of your qualification and subject to demonstrated competence, the position has the opportunity to progress to a Community Facilities Officer role.

- Willingness and ability to complete a Certificate III in Business or similar qualification.
- Computer literacy with experience in the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Ability to undertake cash handling and reconciliation, with a willingness to undergo a criminal history check.
- Ability and willingness to perform manual handling tasks including set up and pack up of equipment and cleaning of facilities.
The rewards
- An annual salary range of $53,900 to $61,800 (plus 11% superannuation) dependent upon skills, experience and qualifications.
