About the Business
Luke Dunn Dental is a long-established, busy and renowned dental practice. We're proudly locally owned and operated and pride ourselves on our dedicated team and providing exceptional patient care. We have recently further expanded our premises on McLeod Street in Cairns North, home to four practitioners including founder and principal dentist: Dr Luke Dunn, Dr Alex Dancyger, Dr Bianca Prove and Oral Health Therapist, Lauren Harper.
Our services include general and cosmetic dentistry, dental implants and facial aesthetic treatments.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn about and assist with reception duties, instrument sterilisation, all general and cosmetic dentistry, facial aesthetic procedures, skin rejuvenation treatments and dental implant surgery as well as the day-to-day duties of a Dental Assistant.
About the Role
The trainee will receive on-the-job training and, after 6 months of successful employment, will be enrolled in a Certificate III in Dental Assisting which is a 12 month online TAFE course paid in full by Luke Dunn Dental.
We are looking for a new team member who is excited about starting a long-term career in the dental industry and who is eager to embrace the opportunity this trainee position represents. They should be neatly and professionally presented and be honest and reliable. The ideal candidate should possess a willingness to learn while constantly expanding their skills, work well in a team environment as well as autonomously. Must be motivated with a positive, can-do attitude and possess the ability to interact and communicate at a high level with patients, practitioners and staff.
MUST be available during all advertised hours of operation: Monday- Saturday including evenings:
Mon-Thurs 7.30am-7pm, Fri 7.30am-5pm, Sat 8am-4pm.
PLEASE NOTE:You will be required to be available during the above hours of operation but rosters change week by week so you will not be required to work every evening or every Saturday. (Saturdays are paid at time and a half).
