To work as part of the dental team and provide high standard of assistance as needed in the treatment of patients by Oral health Service staff.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Dental Assistants to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Prepare equipment, instruments and materials utilised in a variety of dental procedures
- Monitor and assist operator in management of patient well-being
- Assist with dental radiography, developing and mounting radiographs
- Assist in the administrative functions associated with Dental Assistant duties
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Certificate III in Sterilisation and /or Dental Assisting a relevant higher current qualification
- Working with Children check (GCH will cover cost)
- Drivers Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, 6 months, with the possibility of extension, hours negotiable)
- Base salary ranging from $2 548.10 - $2 678.70 per fortnight or $33.52 - $35.24 per hour
