In this role, you’ll:

• Develop the broad range of skills and capabilities required for an Intercity Train Guard at Mount Victoria and Lithgow through our paid 5 - 6 month (approximate) training program.

• Learn through our engaging program about safety procedures, network maps, contingency plans, and how to apply these under high-pressure conditions.

• Be trained through a combination of classroom study and on-the-job training across the network.

While the path to becoming an Intercity Train Guard is dynamic and rewarding, our Trainee program also reflects the work conditions and personal commitment it takes to help NSW Trains run its network 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Your training schedule will include early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

You are an enthusiastic, motivated and customer-focused person and are committed to the 6-month comprehensive training and development program to become an Intercity Train Guard.
