MLG OZ are an ASX listed Mining & Haulage company seeking to employ highly motivated individuals to join our team as Trainee Road Train Operators across our sites in WA/NT. 
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about driving, have a strong work ethic, and are committed to delivering excellent customer service and want to break into the mining sector. 

As a Trainee Road Train operator, you will be trained and developed to enable you to load and operate side tipping triple and quad road trains across various mine sites.

To welcome new people into the industry, we are embarking on a Recruitment Tour across Australia, where we will be hosting Information and Recruitment days at select venues which will provide information about our business and allow us to meet you in person so you can demonstrate your aptitude and explore the opportunity to join our growing team! 

Tour Dates

• Location: Melbourne
• Date: Wednesday (17/4/24), Thursday (18/4/24) & Friday (19/4/24)
• Hours: 8am – 5pm

About the Assessment Centre

• MLG will present an overview of MLG Oz and the Road Train Training Program 
• 1:1 Interview conducted with our Recruitment Team 
• Psychometric Testing (computer based)
• Group Activity 
• Morning Tea & Lunch provided 

The Opportunity

These positions are for people who hold a valid HC/ MC Drivers Licence. We are looking for career orientated Employees who want to be part of an expanding business, offering a friendly workplace with a solid commitment to providing a “safety first” led work environment.

Should you be successful following the assessment centre, we would look to place you in one of our intakes in June, July, September & November.

This Trainee Road Train Driver Program will be a paid structured training program which will provide you with the knowledge, on the job training from our professional Trainers and Operators, to join the team and work in the Mining and Resources sector. 

• Earn while you learn! 
• Structured Training program which will provide you with the knowledge and skills to become a Road Train Operator 
• You will be training in and operating well maintained plant and equipment
• On the job training to competently operate road trains & front-end loaders

Requirements/Skillset:

• Current & Valid HC/MC Australian Drivers Licence
• Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance 
• Full Australian working rights 
• Experience driving truck/trailer combo
• A willingness to learn and desire to succeed
• A strong focus on safety for yourself and others around you
• Ability to work a FIFO 2:1 roster, including dayshift/nightshift
