CST is a long established, market leading Australian owned company that manufacture conveyor belt weighing systems, primarily for the mining industry.
We are looking for a Service Technician to grow our well-regarded WA service team. The ideal applicant will be a self-motivated person who is able to provide our clients with a high level of technical support and customer service. As this role involves visiting Clients’ premises and sites, professional and friendly attitude and manners are essential for dealing with the Clients while representing CST.
CST will provide all the training you need for this role.

The role of a Service Technician includes but is not limited to:
- Calibration, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment, with low voltage electrical testing
- Parts fitting and installation work
- Working on flagship mines sites and ship loading ports across WA
- Producing detailed reports
- Helping improve our systems of work
- Sending electronic data and reports from site
- Working within a QA service system
The successful candidate will have the following attributes and skills:
- Interest in mechanical and electrical work (no license required, we only work with low voltage) - even if you have experience in fixing cars or similar will be helpful for this position
- Experience with computers including Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Technical writing skills
- Be customer service focused
- Strong communication skills
- The role can be physically demanding and requires the ability to work well under pressure, autonomously or as part of a team
Most of the work is based on WA's various mine sites. As we attend mining shutdowns, the work is not on a regular roster. Time away from home can range anywhere between 3 to 14 days so a level of flexibility is essential. When not onsite, you will work out of our Osborne Park office (only if required to fulfill the full time hours).
You will require a current "C" driver's licence, be an Australian citizen or permanent resident and be able to pass a Pre-Employment Medical Examination. You will be expected pass Drug and Alcohol tests on a regular basis.
