Are you looking for a start in shipping and logistics or perhaps career change? We are offering an opportunity to join our small shipping team where you will be trained as a Shipping Coordinator, exporting wool worldwide. This is an onsite role located in North Melbourne and suited to someone who has an eye for detail, a sound work ethic and strong desire to succeed in the role.
What you will be trained to do:
- Preparation of shipping documents for bank under L/C or collection
- Liaising with bank or client until funds received
- Other parts of the shipping department’s role including:
- Liaising with clients regarding shipping requirements. Request/check letters of credit and amendments if required
- Online booking with shipping line and vessel
- Arranging instructions to packers re vessels and vessel booking information
- Liaising with accounts team re: freight/packing invoices and order finalisation
- Maintaining up to date systems and spreadsheets

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level attention to detail
- Computer literate (good knowledge MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
- High level fluent English
- Starting out in your career or changing over from another detailed administrative role

- Full-time, permanent role
- Monday to Friday
- Based in North Melbourne
- Starting at $50k+ super and upwards commensurate to experience and qualifications
