The Traineeship
We welcome applications to undertake a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care Traineeship with Sunrise Christian School Early Learning Centres. This opportunity allows you to work while undertaking a fee-free training pathway to a career in Early Childhood Education, including paid study time. You will work and study in a supportive environment while gaining practical experience in our ELCs.
You have the freedom to choose your own registered institution (e.g. ACCCO, TAFE SA) and will be provided with support and professional development, as well as being matched with a mentor in our Mentorship Program. Your mentor will provide guidance and a understanding of how Sunrise Early Learning Centres operate to achieve its vision and mission.
Depending on Centre need and your availability may be required to open and/or close the Centre, as well as work shifts during the day. Through the application form you will have the opportunity to indicate which Centres you are available to work at. This opportunity is available at all our ELCs: Fullarton, Paradise, Morphett Vale, Marion, and Whyalla.
To be successful
We are looking for committed Christians who are active in church fellowship to join our vibrant Christian community.
It is expected that applicants will:
- Be suitably qualified to begin a Diploma with a Cert III in Early Childhood Education
- Be committed to Christ and able to demonstrate active church involvement
- Demonstrate excellent professional and interpersonal relationships with students and families
- Provide a Working With Children Check or be willing to obtain one.
Relocation Assistance
We have developed a Relocation Assistance Package to help new employees moving to Whyalla. This includes payment of relocation expenses and a relocation allowance paid for the first year of employment. Conditions of the package will be discussed with the successful applicant(s).
