Emali Early Learning Centre, South Australia’s leading group of Early Learning Centres, is currently looking for a caring, nurturing, and experienced Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to join our Centre located at Littlehampton. Our Centre operates between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday.
Permanent full-time role is available for Early Childhood Teachers with the right skills and cultural fit. Applicant must hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education 4 years, be actively working towards this qualification or hold an equivalent qualification as approved by ACECQA.

Your Key ResponsibilitiesWorking with fellow educators, you will be required to:
- Prepare, implement and evaluate developmentally appropriate programs for individual children or groups
- Record observations of individual children or groups for program planning purposes
- Assist in establishing a learning environment which is stimulating, focused and pleasant reflecting Emali’s values and ethos
- Nurture the whole child’s development, respecting the children’s individual needs, abilities and interests
- Provide consistent, caring and adequate supervision of children at all times
- Provide open communication channels with parents and staff
- Respect parent’s feedback about the service and raising issues with management immediately
- Undertake and implement the requirements of the National Quality Framework
- Maintain relevant and accurate data as required and as relevant to National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Complete documentation and programs required to support the NQS outcomes
- Working knowledge of education programs in an Early Learning Centre setting
- Proven ability in the implementation of the National Quality Standards (NQS) around Early Childhood Education
- Understanding of the importance in evaluating developmentally appropriate programs and routines for individual children and groups
- Understanding around the importance of recording and maintaining accurate observations
- Previous experience and appreciation for accurate record-keeping for child safety, care and educational program purposes
- A desire to liaise with families and outside agencies regarding educational support
- A genuine passion for providing a nurturing and caring environment for preschool children aged from 6 weeks to school age
