Opportunity:
Kent is currently inviting applications from qualified Casual VET Trainers & Assessors to deliver a range of qualifications at our Melbourne campus, including:
- Certificate IV in Information Technology (Web development)
- Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security, Telecommunication and Network Engineering, Front End and Back-end Web Development, Cloud Architect, and Cloud Engineering)
- Advanced Diploma in Information Technology (Cyber Security, Telecommunication Network Engineering, Full Stack Web Development)
Role:
As a VET Trainer/Assessor at Kent, you will be responsible for delivering training and assessments, developing curriculum, and evaluating student work. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about teaching and learning, capable of delivering engaging face-to-face training and fostering a supportive learning environment for our students.
Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess relevant vocational competencies aligned with the courses being delivered.
- Demonstrate current industry skills directly applicable to the specified courses.
- Have up-to-date knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning methodologies.
- Hold either the TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or its equivalent TAE40122) OR TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment along with additional specified qualifications.
- Have a minimum of two to five years of teaching experience with industry relevance.
- Exhibit excellence in course delivery and assessment, particularly in face-to-face teaching settings.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide constructive and timely feedback to students on their learning progress.
- Possess the capacity to develop new content and tailor it to meet the needs of the learners.
- Showcase superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess experience using student or learning management systems such as RTO or Moodle, with online delivery experience being advantageous.
- Be familiar with course coordination procedures.
- Hold a valid Working with Children's Check.
