About the position
ATC is seeking a qualified Carpenter to join our training team. This is a unique and very rewarding career that will help shape the careers of future tradespersons in our community, using your extensive industry knowledge to deliver carpentry training.
You will join a highly motivated and positive team of like-minded professionals, focusing on the excellence of conducting training and assessment. As a trainer your role will also include some administrative duties and resource development, as well as engaging in workplace visits to support students and maintain employer contact.
Qualifications
- Possession of relevant formal vocational qualifications in Carpentry.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment or higher.
Those with industry currency without Certificate IV in Training & Assessment are still encouraged to apply as you may be able to work under supervision while completing this qualification.
Clearances
- National Police Clearance.
- Working With Children (WWC) Check.
Experience
- Delivery and assessment of classroom or workplace-based programs.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take ownership of your area.
- Knowledge of workplace safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Delivery and Assessment of Certificate III Carpentry Qualifications.
- Participate in ATC continuous improvement processes.
- Maintain Industry and Vocational currency.
- Participate in Industry consultation.
- Monitor learner progress.
