Contal Training is an RTO formed to train staff across our group of companies to the highest standards of both our organisations and industry.
We are currently seeking a fulltime Trainer/Assessor to work with us to deliver the Certificate III in Individual Care (Ageing) to our staff and (as we grow) beyond.
Because our students are typically working during the daytimes, we are looking for a trainer who is happy to work at least a few evenings a week to facilitate their work/study schedules, and who is happy to support learners working in a blended/online mode rather than necessarily in a classroom.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver accredited, competency-based off-job and on-job training, assessment and learner documentation in line with RTO, ASQA and any other regulatory or statutory requirements
- Ensure care workers working in a range of aged care work environments (in clients’ homes and in our facility) meet the highest standards of our organisation and industry in all areas
- Carry out intake interviews and RPL assessments
- Use video webinars and tools and technologies necessary for remote training and assessment
- Deliver from our custom training and assessment materials
- Ensure the support needs of individual learners are determined and supported
- Make reasonable adjustments to deliver training and conduct assessment, ensuring these are documented in line with requirements
To be considered you will need:
- Current TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Current CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Care (Ageing)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience training in manual handling and dementia
- Nursing experience would be very highly regarded but not required
To apply please submit your CV and cover letter outlining your interest and experience.
Appointment will be subject to a successful Police Check to meet aged care industry requirements.
