An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join the vibrant and motivated team delivering Certificate III in Individual Support under the Skills for Education & Employment (SEE) program.
The Position
Delivering customer focused courses, you will be required to train, assess and support students who are currently studying the Certificate III in Individual Support under the SEE program. This is a temporary position with view to full time employment. The role offers excellent work life balance at 22.5 hours per week, with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday being mandatory working days. The training is face to face at our vibrant and supportive Cairns site.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver all aspects of accredited training and assessment in accordance with standards for RTOs and the Australian Qualifications Framework specifications.
- Apply a broad range of communication styles and methods to ensure effective understanding of diverse clients in the training program.
- Train, assess and support students throughout the course and during their placements.
- Mark student assessments and provide constructive feedback.
- Work with other Aged Care and Disability organisations to assist student to placements.
The Successful Applicant
- Hold a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
- A minimum 2 years recent industry experience across the Aged Care and Disability industries.
- Must hold Certificate III in Individual Support.
- Applicants who are / have been a RN would be highly regarded, but not essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge in the achievement of client learning outcomes and high level client participation, retention and completion rates.
- Working knowledge of Moodle is preferred.
- Effective and flexible training delivery style that delivers positive outcomes across disadvantaged and culturally diverse clients.
- Flu vaccination is mandatory.
Applicants must have the ability to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Clerance, a Working With Children card and have a current Driver Licence.
