Minda’s SA Learning Centre (SALC) has a rare opportunity for an experienced Trainer who specialises in the delivery of Certificate III Individual Support. The learners are adults and/or school students (years 11 and 12) who are training to obtain this qualification to work as carers in the Disability and/or Aged Care sector(s).

Reporting to the SALC Manager, the Trainer Certificate III Individual Support will play a key role in helping to build SALC’s brand as a leading provider of vocational training in SA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, develop, and deliver high quality Certificate III training programs that embed Person Centred thinking and Human rights principles to students and other Community Services professionals.
  • Provide Individual Support related information and support to staff, students, and trainees.
  • Identify and leverage new business opportunities for training delivery across SA.
  • Participate in the validation and moderation of accredited training packages.
  • Maintain professional development records for auditing purposes.

 Essential Requirements:

  • Have delivered Certificate III Individual Support training to groups in a healthcare and/or community services setting.
  • Ability to evaluate training outcomes to determine participant accreditation.
  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload under broad direction.
  • An inclusive and innovative teaching style with knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Hold a Cert IV Training & Assessment
  • Have a Community Services related qualification
  • Have or be willing to complete RRAHN-EC Fundamentals and Masterclass training (Safe Environments for Children and Young People).

Other:

  • Working with Children Check & NDIS Worker Clearance
  • RRAHN-EC Fundamentals and Masterclass training (or ability to attain)
  • Current unrestricted SA drivers’ licence.
