Due to significant growth and opportunities the College is currently seeking an experienced and qualified trainer and assessor for
- Certificate III and Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
We have courses that run at our Epping, Chatswood, Mt Druitt and Blacktown sites as well as remote delivery via Zoom. We also provide traineeships at various locations.
We are currently looking for full time (Part Time or Casual employment will be considered for the suitable applicant) trainer/assessors to undertake a variety of tasks including face to face training, workplace assessment, traineeship support and remote assessment.
While we endeavour to offer training close to our trainers home this role will at times require the ability to work across our sites and to travel to visit our students in workplaces across Sydney. Some of the remote assessment will be able to be done from home or a suitable office.
The ideal candidate/s will like a broad variety of tasks. A typical schedule may involve delivery of a class on two days or evenings a week, visiting a variety of students in their workplaces on another day or two and doing some remote marking or other activities in any available time.
Essential Experience
Trainers will be required to deliver and assess qualifications whilst ensuring that contractual and compliance requirements for the delivery of programs are met in accordance with ASQA.
Successful candidates will need to have the following:
- recent training and assessment experience
- understand of training compliance including validation, RPL, industry consultation, etc.
- recent experience in the Childcare industry
- Drivers licence and reliable car for travel to workplaces across Sydney
- hold relevant qualifications at or above the course level they are delivering
- a Certificate IV Trainer/Assessor (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- current Working with Children Check.
- current National Police Check
As well as the required qualification and experience we are looking for skills to engage people from a variety of backgrounds and those facing barriers to employment. We want trainers that have a genuine passion for assisting students on pathways to sustainable employment and the ability to be flexible to the unique needs of our students. Excellent communication skills, flexibility, ability to work as part of a team and a commitment to student outcomes are key requirements of the role.
