Job description

We’re looking for someone to join us for a 10 month opportunity to cover parental leave as a Training Specialist. This person will have strong attention to detail and great organisation skills. You will be a confident communicator, facilitator and presenter and have the ability to take ownership and work with multiple stakeholders. You will also have experience in designing course content, different learning styles and mediums to deliver a strong member experience approach.

The role and business are exciting and dynamic, with tasks varying from day to day. You will work within a close-knit team, and across many aspects of the business to provide initial induction training for new employees, as well as ongoing training and development support for existing employees as required, with a specific focus on ensuring our employees have the knowledge and tools to provide an exceptional member experience.

The Training Specialist will also regularly monitor, review and evaluate training programs, adjusting where necessary to ensure program effectiveness and alignment to best practice.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Confidence in delivering orientation and induction programs for new employees.
  • Ability to assess training and development needs through communication with leaders in the business and develop training modules to bridge any gaps identified.
  • A drive to regularly seek opportunities to fulfil and meet employees specific training needs through training analysis and consultation with leaders.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and proactively monitor, review and evaluate training programs, making adjustments where necessary to ensure program effectiveness.
  • Great communication and ability to work closely with Product owners and key stakeholders within the business to ensure training is fit for purpose to deliver outcomes to our members.
  • A strong understanding of RACTs workplace policies and ensure compliance.
  • A mindset to actively contribute to a vibrant, collaborative team focused environment 
  • Experience in a similar position or within the insurance industry
  • Very high level of confidentiality, discretion and judgement. 
  • Demonstrated reliability with the ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
