We're seeking a driven Transaction Monitoring Lead to drive our Financial Crime Compliance Program of Action forward. If you're passionate about making a real impact, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a wealth of experience in compliance and regulatory programs, then this role is for you.This role will assist in researching, designing and integrating change plans and solutions to enhance Suncorp Bank's processes and practices in response to external regulatory and legislative requirements relating to Financial Crime, and AUSTRAC's compliance assessment.What you'll do:
- Design and execute a comprehensive Program of Work to bolster Suncorp Bank's financial crime compliance efforts, ensuring alignment with regulatory mandates.
- Implement robust governance frameworks to steer change initiatives effectively across the Financial Crime Compliance Program of Action.
- Champion business readiness plans through meticulous change management activities, ensuring seamless transition and stakeholder engagement.
- Mitigate risks proactively by establishing sound risk management principles and swiftly implementing remedial actions when necessary.
- Drive stakeholder collaboration through workshops and meetings, fostering a culture of innovation and shared understanding.
- Stay abreast of external trends and engage with third parties to identify and implement cutting-edge solutions for compliance management.
- Collaborate with audit, compliance, and risk teams, providing vital information and governance artifacts to support audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Monitor AUSTRAC requirements closely, ensuring ongoing adherence and compliance.
- Deliver compelling presentations to management committees, offering transparent insights into remediation progress and compliance updates.
- Over 7 years of experience in compliance or regulatory program roles, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong Transaction Monitoring background and expertise
- Proven track record in financial crime control operations or programs, coupled with executive reporting and engagement skills.
- Deep regulatory, risk, and compliance knowledge, with a solid understanding of fraud, AML/CTF, and financial crime risk.
- Expertise in project management, with exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Ability to efficiently prioritize workloads, risks, and issues, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and navigate complex environments.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a confident and judicious approach to risk assessment and solution implementation.
