We welcome customer centric individuals with a broad base of capabilities, to join our global family.Job DescriptionThe Transactional Finance, Travel and Expense Superintendent occupies a pivotal position within GSS Finance, orchestrating the full cycle of accounts payable activities from invoice receipt to payment execution, and overseeing the comprehensive management of the organization's Travel and Expense policies.This role is essential in driving operational excellence, ensuring rigorous compliance with both internal guidelines and external regulations, and deploying strategic initiatives to optimize cost-efficiency and elevate the overall employee travel experience. The incumbent plays a vital role in supporting the organization's financial health and operational efficiency through meticulous management and strategic foresight.Some of your duties will include:
  • Champion the integrity and efficiency of the invoice processing and payments system, ensuring transactions are executed in accordance with defined KPIs and within agreed time frames.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous refinement of the company's travel policies, ensuring they align with corporate goals and employee needs.
  • Craft, refine, and enforce accounts payable policies, procedures, and controls to bolster accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Manage all finance and Expense reporting, and escalate aged items where appropriate
  • Function as the primary liaison for employee inquiries regarding travel policies and Expense reimbursements, ensuring clarity, compliance, and contentment.
  • Own the end to end management and implementation of company travel policies in region
  • Actively manage vendor relationships, resolving payment-related disputes and inquiries with diplomacy and efficiency.
  • Oversee the accounts payable department and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and Expense reports
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices
  • Train and develop accounts payable staff, including setting performance goals and conducting performance evaluations
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for accounts payable
  • Assist with audits and provide documentation and support as needed
  • Lead your teams by example, offering support, coaching and guidance for your direct reports.
  • Direct and develop a team of finance professionals by setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback, and fostering an environment conducive to growth and excellence
QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a relevant field
  • Advanced certifications such as CA. CPA, or CMA will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in accounts payable and travel & expense management within a complex organizational structure.
  • Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial standards (GAAP or IFRS), and compliance regulations affecting invoice processing and Expense management.
  • Expertise in utilizing and optimizing financial software and ERP systems, with a particular emphasis on expense management platforms like Concur.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and financial modeling, with superior Excel skills and the ability to translate data insights into strategic action plans.
  • Strong leadership qualities to inspire, guide, and motivate teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence at all levels of the organization to drive alignment and commitment to optimization initiatives.
  • Demonstrated leadership prowess, with a track record of mentoring and motivating coordinators and team members towards achieving excellence and operational goals.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate, collaborate, and build consensus across diverse groups and senior leadership teams
  • Decisive and able to make informed decisions that balance strategic objectives with operational realities.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and adapt in a dynamic environment, maintaining a focus on detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
