Job DescriptionAbout the Opportunity
The Transformation Team provides capabilities in strategic planning and delivery, program and project management, operating model redesign and financial sustainability. The Delivery Lead is a senior role within the Transformation Team. The Delivery Lead provides a high level of expertise, experience, and proficiency in transformation projects.
The Delivery lead works together with Executive Sponsors, senior leaders, team members, colleagues, and the Director Transformation, to deliver on strategic projects. The scope of this position encompasses:
- Program management
- Change management
- Operating model redesign
- Benefits realisation analysis
- Executive communication and report writing
- Senior stakeholder engagement
- Risk and issue management.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage the Executive Group to plan and deliver transformation projects (including projects relating to staff and student experience, service effectiveness and operating model design).
- Take responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful implementation of projects and associated recommendations (typically with significant and high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).
- Adopt and adapt project management methods and tools to ensure that work is undertaken on time and achieves the desired outcomes/objectives.
- Provide leadership to the team with responsibility for day-to-day execution of initiatives, including managing and resolving interdependences, ensuring ongoing alignment to strategy and priorities, and recommending solutions.
- Negotiate with stakeholders to manage competing priorities.
- In partnership with Sponsor and the Executive, provide change leadership and management.
- Reinforce the spirit and goals of the transformation agenda and drive a culture of continuous improvement.
- Lead and promote compliance with relevant legislation and University policies and procedures, including equity and health & safety and exhibit good practice in relation to same.
- Be a leading example of the principles and values embodied in the University’s Code of Conduct, and behave, act and communicate at all times to reflect fairness, ethics and professionalism.
About you
The successful candidate will have:
- have significant experience partnering with executives on complex and strategic projects.
- a track record of successful execution of transformational projects from developing the overall strategy through to implementation of recommendations.
- significant knowledge and expertise in methodologies and tools used in transformation and change.
- relevant tertiary qualifications, ideally at a postgraduate level
- significant experience at a senior level.

This is a senior appointment therefore a competitive salary will be negotiated with the preferred candidate.
