Transformation Project Manager

We have a need for an experienced Transformation Project Manager (SFIA 5) for our Client; this role is based in Canberra ACT.  The Transformation Project Manager will lead and manage initiatives within the clients large program implementation to support the delivery of Project and Program Management outcomes.

This includes:

• developing organisational objectives, plans and artefacts.
• implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects.
• managing workflows and provide input into the development of program management artefacts in support of business outcomes.

The Transformation Project Manager will engage with key internal and external stakeholders, to include partners at the senior executive level. The Transformation Project Manager will provide support to decisions that will have impact on the achievement or organisational objects.

 
Major Responsibilities:

•  Achieve project deliverables in accordance with the approved project scope.
• Leverage a change management methodology to deliver on initiatives.
• Monitor project progress and create project status reports for Project Managers and stakeholders.
• Plan, direct, co-ordinate and manage effective administration of document and information distribution, report collation and communication support including monthly reporting.
• Identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics, as appropriate.
• Ensure all work completed meets quality standards and quality control measures.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Demonstrated experience in project management
• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement
• Demonstrated experience in change management
• Exceptional organisational skills to work in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
• The ability to plan, direct, co-ordinate and manage effective administration of document and information distribution, report collation and communication support including monthly reporting

 

Location: This role is required to be performed in Canberra, ACT.

Contract terms: 12 month Contract. Part-Time may be considered.

SFIA security level required: The Specified Person will be expected to demonstrate attributes at a SFIA Level of Responsibility 5 

Security Requirements: Current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance OR have held a TSPV in the previous 12 month period (which has since been downgraded). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo pre-employment checks which may include, ID and work rights, security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
