Carroll Group Aus is a trusted supply chain solutions company servicing customers in the Oil and Gas, Retail, Mining and Heavy Industrial sectors, Australia wide.
The business is currently undergoing significant growth and we are looking for a dynamic Transport Allocator to join us immediately on our journey, with moving to a new facility on the South-side of Brisbane and to support the transport execution for one of our brand-new key mining accounts.
We are ideally looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated applicant with exceptional time management, communication, and computer skills to coordinate container and freight movements.
This role will suit a focused individual who prides themselves on their accuracy, attention to detail and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Planning and Scheduling of transport deliveries predominantly linehaul allocation with the need to assist local movements as well.
- Assisting the wider team logistics and warehousing teams with coordinating freight into and out of our two facilities.
- Frequently Liaising with drivers, customers, subcontractors and admin personnel
- Monitoring the progress of deliveries and troubleshooting delays.
- Monitoring fatigue management.
- Data entry, connote and DIFOT management.
The successful applicant will possess the following skills.
- Must have port and container related transport experience.
- Transport industry experience,
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Demonstrated excellence in telephone manner and customer service.
- Excellent administrative abilities
- Ability to plan, prioritise and multi-task.
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Reliable, flexible and team orientated.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Intermediate or advanced computer literacy
- Strong communication skills
