The Role
This role is responsible for managing the Freight Payment Process for Ixom Carriers in Australia as a part of our Freight Processing team of 3. You will manage and maintain the SAP freight system to ensure accurate payment processing and act as a pivotal interface between Ixom and our contracted carriers with regards to accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of carrier statements received via electronically into our ECC SAP system
- Identification of any discrepancies between our carrier statements our records and investigation and resolution of variations
- Ensure invoicing processes reflect operational outcomes i.e. cancelled loads, demurrage.
- Credits received in timely manner for inaccurate invoices
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that payments are made following the agreed process
- Work with carriers to manage the quality and timeliness of invoicing/credit receipts.
- Ensure no over-payments are made to carriers and any variances in rates are effectively managed
- Carry out any other reasonable administrative tasks as instructed
- Maintenance of all rates, routes and carrier lead times in SAP
- Manage rate changes due to fuel levy changes, new rates, new carriers, annual escalations
- Work with customer service with routes, lead times for correct DIFOT measures
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a reconciliations role,
- An understanding of order to delivery process
- Experience with SAP, Oracle or similar highly regarded
- Reconciliations experience in a large organisation with complex AP, ideally in the distribution industry
- Strong Microsoft products skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skill
- A proactive approach to your work with a keen eye for detail
