It's an exciting time for Wollondilly with major town centres being planned and built. To support this growth the newly created Transport and Traffic Planner will provide strategic direction about Wollondilly’s transport needs, including:
- Analysing the Shire's future transport needs
- Implementing, reviewing, researching and developing policies and strategies relating to transport
- Incorporating mode shift and best practice transport options into our growth centres
- Advocating on behalf of Council on strategic transport issues
- Providing strategic transport planning advice on network development, major developments and government strategies
- Representing Council at transport forums
- Advise on capital works priorities.
- Tertiary qualifications in transport, civil engineering, planning or related field, with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated significant experience in strategic transport planning.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement strategies, supporting policies and procedures and systems related to transport planning.
- Demonstrated ability to take issues from inception, defining problem, agreed scope and completion.
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Class C drivers licence.
