Transport Operations – Opportunity for Training and Development
What's the role?
This is a high volume fast paced role that will require eye for detail and ownership of tasks.
Reporting to the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Answering incoming calls, providing excellent customer service
- Making outbound calls to follow up on deliveries
- Planning and organising FCL deliveries
- Reviewing and resolving customer queries inclusive of ETA and POD requests
- Monitoring, reporting and confirming cargo status to clients as required.
- Ensuring all cargo is clear and all impediments are met to enable delivery
- Co-ordinating delivery times with clients and communicating any changes in line with ETA, slots and stack runs.
- Using 1-stop website to ensure transport only shipments are correct and updated.
- Handling of customer specific enquiries or requirements in coordination with other departments
- Organising any ad-hoc deliveries
- Ensuring allKPl's are met or exceeded where possible
- Accurately entering data through our in-house transport management system; One Track
What you need is:
- Excellent telephone manner
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail, with sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Being able to work well in a team environment as well as independently
- IT literacy and sound Microsoft office skills including Excel
- Being passionate and driven toward success
- Current drivers License and own transport – essential
- Successful candidates may be required to undergo pre-employment medical testing.
