Chief Operating Officer Group | Finance Division | External Budgets & Revenue | Administered Financial Management
The position is part of the Administered Contracts Team within the Administered Financial Management Section of the External Budgets and Revenue Branch. The section provides end to end financial functions including high level strategic financial advice and support for highly complex major contracts. This includes providing support to relevant business areas and to the CFO to support the successful delivery of outcomes for the Administered components of Program 2.4 - IMA Offshore Management and Program 3.5 - Onshore Compliance and Detention, a combined annual administered operating budget of approximately $1.4 billion. The section also coordinates and prepares a range of written material including business cases, Senate Estimate submissions, Ministerial briefs and Questions on Notice.

Duties and responsibilities
- Oversee the invoice verification and approval process including goods receipting of invoices associated with service delivery to support contractual arrangements and investigating invoice discrepancies and exploring solutions to resolve disputes
- Assist with the preparation of monthly accruals and journals to ensure that expenditure is completely and accurately accounted for
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders on high level issues such as disputes as well as to facilitate approval and payment of invoices
- Assist with all financial reporting and analysis activities, including the monitoring and regular review of budget and expenditure and Cash flow forecasting for expenses and contracted services, including the provision of timely and accurate financial information for both internal and external stakeholders
- Provide advice on financial matters including but not limited to expenditure to date, projected expenditure, pressures, analysis of expenses and categories of spends.

To be eligible for the position you must be an Australian Citizen.
The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (AGSVA) security clearance and an Employment Suitability Clearance (ESC).
