What is the role?
Applications are sought from suitably qualified applicants wishing to be considered for the role of Travel Support Officer (Band 4) within Shared Services.
In this position, you will be required to provide advice and assistance to AFP appointees regarding travel (domestic/international), relocations services, corporate credit card management, FlexiPurchase expense system support (including CTM and AOT), and Per Diems. These services are delivered in line with the Whole of Australian Government travel arrangements and AFP guidelines, in a cost effective and efficient manner.
You will also be required to contribute to the achievement of outcomes in accordance with the regulatory framework, the AFP Code of Conduct and the AFP Governance Instruments. It is expected that the successful applicant will deliver on the core responsibilities and meet any requirements of the position as outlined below.

What will you do?
Working effectively in a small team yet high-tempo work environment, duties may include:
Providing guidance, advice, and training to AFP appointees on travel and corporate card related policies, processes and systems;
Processing travel allowances for domestic travel, including Per Diem adjustments and debt repayment;
Assisting the Relocations team to ensure AFP appointees are relocated in a timely manner;
Supporting AFP members in booking international travel;
Providing assistance to AFP members on the application and issuing of Official passports and Visas for international travel;
Manage the centralised helpdesk email inboxes and phones, ensuring that all enquiries are addressed;
Develop and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure appropriate level of support for AFP appointees;
Maintaining currency in all associated governance for Travel, Corporate Cards and Relocations including National Guidelines and Policy documents;
Other administrative tasks required, as directed by Senior Team Members and/or Team Leader.
Essential Requirements
Demonstrated experience in an administration environment;
High level customer service and communication skills;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite;
Willingness to learn and adapt to changing systems and processes;
The ability to work effectively in a team;
Well-developed organisational skills, and demonstrated capability to manage competing priorities;
A valid driver’s licence;
You must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application
NV1 Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
Desirable Requirements
Knowledge and experience working with CTM as part of the WoAG agreement;
Experience using SAP, CTM online booking tool (Cytric), and Flexipurchase;
Prior experience within Federal/State/Local Government will be viewed favourably.
Additional Information
This position is located in Canberra, ACT. Successful interstate applicants must be willing to relocate to Canberra.
