About the role

We have a thrilling opportunity for you! As an Arboriculture Tree Assessment Officer with the Inner West Council, you will play an essential role in preserving and managing our community's beautiful urban forest.

You will work collaboratively with a driven and passionate team to implement sustainable tree management services in order to maintain our urban forest's quality and ensure it remains a valuable resource for generations to come.

You will have the opportunity to put your arboriculture skills and expertise to use in a meaningful way while working towards achieving the desired outcomes of our Community Strategic Plan.

Remuneration

$80,935.92 to $98,064.20 + 11% Superannuation + Access to an Inner West Council operational motor vehicle 

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications 

1. Relevant Aboricultural qualifications (AQF 5 Diploma Arboriculture)
2. Experience in undertaking visual Tree Assessments, report writing and plan interpretation.
3. Qualifications in an industry recognised tree risk methodology (e.g. QTRA, TRAQ, VALID).
4. Experience and knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act and other planning legislation (e.g., SEPP, LEP, DCP) as it relates to tree management and protection.
