Position Overview: As a Driver/Operator in Brisbane, you will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely throughout the metropolitan area and surrounding regions. This role requires a good understanding of Brisbane's road network, ensuring quality bulk deliveries, with strong customer satisfaction focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving: Operate specialised vehicles, or general vehicles, to transport goods to designated locations across Melbourne and surrounding regions.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring quality control systems are properly followed. Coordinate with warehouse staff or clients to facilitate smooth loading and delivery processes.
- Vehicle Presentation & Pre-checks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the equipment, including a strong focus equipment presentation and cleanliness.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with fleet controller, customers, and other stakeholders via, phone, or electronic messaging systems. Provide updates on delivery status, report any delays or incidents, and coordinate logistics as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid/current HC/MC licence. – MSIC card very welcomed.
- Clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations or accidents.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and strong customer satisfaction focus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Heavy vehicle pre-employment medical.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Mature and stable personality.
- Good character, conscientious attitude.
- Tidy and professional appearance in company uniform, and the ability to project a favourable image to customers.
