Corio Waste Management Pty Ltd (CWM) was established in 1996 and is headquartered in Geelong. The company provides solid and liquid waste collection services to customers in Geelong and metropolitan Melbourne. Employing over 50 workers, CWM operates more than 30 vehicles, 2 depots in Moolap and Altona, and an organic waste processing facility in Shepparton.

CWM is looking for an experienced Truck Driver to join its team in Geelong.
Accountability & Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe operation of company vehicles, plant and equipment
- Inspect and report on maintenance requirements of company vehicles, plant and equipment
- Deliver, pick-up and remove bins, skips and containers from customer sites
- Ensure that services delivered meet customer needs and requirements
- Ensure that data entered into Mobile Waste is accurate and tour plans are followed
- Ensure that documents and records relating to the tracking of waste are accurate and completed in a timely manner
- Maintain an acceptable level of productivity, which will be regularly measured and monitored
- Review results and outcomes and initiate improvement actions with managers and supervisors
- Communicate well and provide regular feedback on your own perspectives and needs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:
- Knowledge of environmental laws and regulations that relate to the collection, transportation and disposal of solid and liquid waste, including hazardous wastes (education & training will be provided)
- At least 2 years’ experience driving heavy rigid and/or heavy combination vehicles
- A forklift and/or vehicle mounted crane licence (preferred)
- A current HR or HC licence (and provide a 5-year Vic Roads driver history and full driving record).
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety laws and regulations.
- An ability to work and perform as an individual and as part of a team.
- Geographic knowledge of Geelong and surrounding municipalities and Melbourne metropolitan area.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake physical and psychological testing prior to commencing employment with the company.
CWM’s drivers are employed under an Enterprise Agreement and remunerated above the pay rates provided for in the Waste Management Award.
